Selection Day

The Society has also just completed it’s Annual Selection Day. It was wonderful to have so many applicants applying this year, and with a very high standard of work, it made judging quite difficult. With 8 places available, the following people have been offered membership. We look forward to seeing their work at future exhibitions this year.

Edd Terran, Kirsten Wright, Hilary Garner, David Slater, Christopher Child. Rene Griffin, Ian Longhurst and Andrew Coleman

Suffolk Art Society AGM 2022

The AGM this year was held in person as opposed to last year which was held online.  The event was held at the Stevenson Centre in Great Cornard. It was lovely to see everybody . After listening to the annual reports, we were delighted to welcome Clare Powell as the new honorary President. John Everett , who has done so much for the Society over the years felt it was time to step down. Thank you John for all your hard work and support.  Clare has previously led the Society as Chairman for 12 years and has done a wonderful job. Hence we are delighted she has accepted the position.

After the reports, Karenza Jackson treated the members to a demonstration in Mixed Media and monoprinting. Karenza is well known for her art throughout Suffolk. She also runs workshops . Thank you very much Karenza for a very enjoyable demo.
